President's Message |
Having recently lost an hour of sleep due to daylight savings time, I guess it is time to start thinking spring in Northeast Wisconsin! The on-set of spring means we will soon be approaching our last two chapter meetings of the fiscal year. The February chapter meeting was dynamic and offered our members and strategic sponsors a change from our standard events and venues. At our February meeting held at the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, Jack Pelton, Chairman and CEO of EAA gave an informative presentation on “General Aviation’s Impact on the Economy and EAA’s Contribution”. In addition to Mr. Pelton’s talk on aviation and its economic impact, Tim McCoy, shareholder with Godfrey & Kahn, and Jeffrey Kowieski, partner with Wipfli moderated an impressive panel discussion on the relevant and timely topic of “Business Ethics”. Panel members Ignacio Cortina, Executive Vice president, General Counsel and Secretary for Oshkosh Corporation, Denis Hogan, Senior Vice President for Belin Health, Jay Moroney, Managing Principal and Leader of Integro Insurance Brokers and Terry Warfield, PwC Professor in Accounting at the University of Wisconsin - School of Business provided generous insights into the importance of an ethical approach to business.Click here to continue reading Bob's President's Message. |

Special Feature |
We could really use your
help with recruiting!
We have had a net decrease of seven members since June 30, 2016. This is driven
by 26 members who have not renewed their membership. They are primarily members who have not been
able to attend our chapter functions.
Our fiscal year ends June 30, 2017 and we would really like to at least “breakeven” which means we need to have a net increase of seven members by then. We currently have four prospects who have indicated they are probably going to join which is a good start toward meeting this goal. To read the entire Membership Update click here | Join peers the morning of Wednesday, May 18, 2017, for a review of ERISA fiduciary duties and discussion of trends and best practices. This event is hosted by experts from Francis Investment Counsel, Husch Blackwell, and PNC Institutional Asset Management. |
