Wipfli’s Mark Stevens and Terry Kerscher, with Raj Kirshnan from Microsoft, will provide a hands-on experience, Emerging Business System Technologies and Trends Impacting the Shop Floor, as part of the metals/machinery program track session.

On the shop floor, everything is connected and runs like clockwork…until it doesn’t. One machine breakdown has an enormous impact on production, and it often happens at the very worst time. But what if a shop floor was “intelligent” enough to predict problems and offer solutions that can be implemented before downtime or issues actually occurred? It sounds exciting, but just how does it work, and what does it look like?

    • Hear examples of how some companies have used the Internet of Things (IoT) and predictive technology in moving manufacturing beyond real-time analytics to anticipate and correct problems before they occur.
    • See firsthand how a sensor can identify a machine part that’s performing poorly, flag it for replacement ahead of schedule, and take advantage of scheduled downtime.

Stop By Wipfli Booth #323 and Enter to Win Microsoft Surface Tablet

As we celebrate Manufacturing Month, Wipfli salutes Wisconsin’s manufacturers for the positive impact and vital role you play in our state’s economy. Through eight decades of partnering with manufacturing companies, we understand the hard work and dedication it takes to succeed. Stop by and connect with us to put the power of our industry focus to work for you.

    Wipfli Hewins

Think the U.S. Department of Labor is only targeting large corporations? Think again.

The DOL's new fiduciary rule, which officially takes effect in April 2017, requires all retirement plan advisors to act in the best interest of the retirement plans and participants they serve, and to disclose all material conflicts of interest and compensation.

Recently, the gavel has come down on employers of all sizes for allowing costly services and high-fee investment options into their plans, proving that no plan sponsor or trustee is exempt from compliance.

    You Have a Responsibility.

Do your clients sponsor retirement plans? As fiduciaries, they are obligated to ensure their plans are fully compliant and deliver the greatest value to their employees. Otherwise, they're putting their bottom line, their workforce and the future of their business at risk.

As a trusted advisor, consultant and partner, it is your job to start this conversation with your clients.

    It's time to take action.

Help your clients stay out of the legal crossfire with a

    complimentary retirement plan analysis.
